Summer Placements

Summer placements at IIFT for the 2007-2009 batch were a great success with 168 students being placed. This includes 116 people from the Delhi campus and 52 from Kolkata. What set apart the summers process this year was the entry of a host of new companies from sectors as diverse as investment banking and the media recruiting from IIFT.

The new recruiters this year include I-banking firm Lehman Brothers, media biggie HT Media, Tata Steel, BPCL (Retail) ICI Paints and Trident among others.

In keeping with the focus on international business at IIFT, international offers in Egypt and Malaysia were made by companies in the pharmaceutical and automobile sectors.

The list of regular recruiters who made it a point to take summer recruits from IIFT this year too included Hindustan Unilever Limited, ITC, Colgate Palmolive, Britannia, Cadbury's, Coca Cola, Dabur, ICICI Bank, SBI, Axis Bank, Tata Motors, Maruti Udyog Limited and Essar. IT companies turned up in full strength with SAP, IBM, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Wipro, Patni Computers, US Technologies.
