Introduction:
Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) of development activities has emerged as very effective management task for development policy planners, project authorities and other stakeholders of development planning process. Application of tools and techniques of monitoring and evaluation is important because in order to manage projects efficiently, we need good information flows. Monitoring system ensures flow of information at a level and frequency that managers of development programmes require. Evaluation on the other hand assists in assessing the effectiveness of government projects and in locating critical project areas where governance is very important.
