International Conference Organized by FMS, Delhi
"Human Capital Formation in the 21st Century: Is a New Paradigm Needed?"
December 1-4, 2005
University of Delhi Auditorium, Delhi

Previous

In line with the above conceptualization, extant human capital theory suggests a new strategic orientation to human capital policies and practices as opposed to the traditional administrative approach. This views human capital management in a strategic & integrative role, wherein human capital activities are dedicated to accomplishing the organization's overall strategic plan, and strategic plans in turn are developed with consideration for the human capital management activities, which must support them. The logic of strategic Human Capital Management is that human capital management activities add the most value to the organization when they consistently operate in support of, and are integrated with, the organization's strategy.
