Overview

NASSCOM and global business intelligence leader, McKinsey & Company are pleased to announce the "NASSCOM & McKinsey Study 2005", a comprehensive analysis of the country’s IT services and ITES-BPO segments and India’s growing stature and leadership status in these markets.

The NASSCOM-McKinsey Study 2005 talks about how India has emerged as a sunrise offshoring destination for the global IT and BPO sectors owing to its strengths in the areas of skilled manpower, primary infrastructure, operational excellence, a conducive business environment and continued growth in the domestic IT sector.

Key Highlights of the NASSCOM’s Summit on the 2005 Study

A special summit is being hosted by NASSCOM to unveil the findings of the NASSCOM-McKinsey joint IT-ITES industry report and challenges the sector has to overcome to address the full global market opportunity and sustain its competitive edge. The NASSCOM-McKinsey India Strategy Summit 2005 will provide: -

• A focus on how India can continue to reiterate its leadership position in the global offshore IT and BPO industries, provided it plugs a shortage of skilled workers over the next decade and improves talent supply, strengthens urban infrastructure and deals with bottlenecks in infrastructure services such as power, etc., and delivers deep and enduring innovations related to new service lines, knowledge, the eco-system and operational excellence.

• A platform for McKinsey analysts and industry captains to talk about how India can maintain its current market share in the face of intense competition from other low-cost locations such as South Africa, China and Eastern Europe.

The seminar will also feature the following: -
