Objectives: The course is designed: -
To promote an understanding of law, regulation and management issues relating to industrial process and environmental sustainability
To supplement knowledge and skills in using planning, legal and management tools to leverage environmental performance for business advantage
To develop ability to handle more effectively the potential legal risks while managing pollution in industries
To equip the participants in evaluating and promoting in-house capabilities to maximise compliance of regulatory responsibilities through environmental management systems
For: The course will benefit all those concerned with the emerging environmental laws and regulations impacting upon business. The course contents will appeal to all persons connected in any way with environmental management issues and seek to be armed with legal tools to plan and manage their business effectively. The course aims at senior and middle level executives in industry, government and the academia. It will also be useful for business managers, environmental managers, law officers, law teachers and environmental engineers in the State and Central Pollution Control Boards, and government officials, NGOs and the consultants working in the area of environmental law and management.
