A Seminar On Given the present scenario of ethics in business and the attitude of business school students to realize the value of ethics in business, XLRI is organizing a short Seminar on business ethics entitled "Ethics in Business and B-Schools". This Seminar coincides with the death anniversary of Mr J R D Tata, one of the most admired models of ethical managers in our country, and also with the Oration on Business Ethics. Its known that ethics cannot be propagated either in business or in business schools without real ethical leadership. Ethical leadership can be looked at from various angles. This seminar is, however, taking only two angles: namely ethics from the angle of virtues and ethics from the angle of spirituality. Naturally, the present way of formulating ethical leadership and values is through the code of ethics. This Seminar also takes up the code of ethics and discusses it first in general terms, and then as a case study. There is also a panel discussion in the afternoon to clarify the points, which would come up during the discussions, and to plan for the future. The Participants Executives from Industry, Faculty of B-Schools, Students of B-Schools, Professionals from other Sectors
