Frrole raises $ 245k in angel round

Frrole has raised $ 245 K in angel funding from a group of 8 investors led by Sharad Sharma, Rajan Anandan, Manav Garg through the crowd funding platform, letsventure..
The company will use the funds to expand in Southeast Asia mainly in Singapore and Indonesia and for building operational capabilities and increase its footprint in India.
Frrole a big data analytics start-up was part of the Microsoft Ventures Accelerator 2013 program. Frrole was set up in April 2012 by Amarpreet Kalkat , Abishek Vaid and Nishith Sharma.
Frrole has launched a twitter data based offering which helps media and brands discover insights and relevant information. It analyses the vast data to provide insight to companies and brands. It builds a local buzz graph and classifies data across each neighbourhood, city and country.
The company has 15 clients including Times of India, MSN, UTV, Headline Today, Indian express etc.
The company charges $100 per month per data stream, expecting to generate revenue of Rs 5 lakh for this month. “We will have an annualised run rate of over $1 million this year,” said Sharma.
As of now, the startup claims to analyse over 10 million tweets daily and has sifted through over 100 million tweets since January this year.
