Mobstac raises $ 2 Million in Series B funding

Bangalore-based Mobile Motion Technologies (MobStac) has raised Series B funding of $ 2 Million from CISCO and existing investor, Accel Partners.

The company set up in 2009 by Sharat Potharaju and Ravi Pratap Maddimsetty had raised Series A funding from Accel Partners and Mumbai angels in 2011.

The company was incubated and angel funded by IIT Chennai.

Mobstac will utilise the funds to expand its cloud platform to build websites for consumers.

MobStac provides a technology platform to bloggers and publishers that allows them to convert their standard websites into mobile-optimised versions within minutes. It is done through a self-service platform. Its key customers include The Hindu, Deccan Herald, Outlook India, Times Internet, Zig Wheels, allAfrica, intomobile, and IndiaTV.

Last June, the company partnered with California-headquartered Vdopia Inc, a video advertising network to enable businesses and publishers to mobilise digital properties and monetise video content across mobile and tablet devices.
