Sequoia Capital invests $ 16 Million in Cloudnine

Cloudnine a speciality maternity and infant care group of hospitals has raised $ 16 Million Series B funding from Sequoia Capital and existing investors, Matrix Partners..

Cloudnine had raised Rs. 45 crores from Matrix Partners in 2011.

Started in 2007 by Dr. Kishore Kumar and Mr. Ramachandra, Cloudnine has 5 maternity and childcare facilities spread across Bangalore and new facility in Chennai. It plans to build 15 hospitals over the next 2-3 years with an investment of Rs. 300-450 crores.

Kids Clinic India, which runs Cloudnine will deploy the capital raised in the next four to six months to accelerate expansion in southern and western region of India.
