Admission Process (for all courses offered)

1. Post Graduate Diploma in Management (2yrs)

  • Applications are to be made online only. The details for the 2010 admissions can be found at http://spjimr.org/pgdm/admissions.asp
  • CAT, XAT and GMAT scores are considered for admission
  • The first short-list is made on the basis of academic performance, versatility in extra-curricular activities and relevant work experience. A second short-list, released after the CAT/XAT scores are announced, considers the scores in these entrance exams
  • The selection process involves group interviews scheduled around March, in major cities of India
  • All admissions to SPJIMR are strictly on merit basis. There is no management quota. The entire admission process is on qualification basis and no intervention is possible

    • 2. Post Graduate Programme in Management (11 months)

  • The selection criteria for calling candidates for interviews are based on multiple factors like:
    • CAT/XAT/GMAT score
    • Work experience - 5 or more years of work experience
    • Past academic performance
    • Extracurricular activities, other interests
    • Accomplishments (professional and academic)
  • All the above factors along with the performance in the interviews are used to determine the eligibility of candidates for offering final admission. Selection will be largely determined by potential for lateral shift, clear career plans, sound purpose of taking up this programme and ability to map the relationship between these by the prospective candidates and SPJIMR's assessment of the above
  • Short listed candidates will be called for interviews
  • Last date for receipt of completed application form for PGDM 2010-12: 15 December 2009. Please refer to http://spjimr.org/pgdm/admissions.asp for details

    • 3. Family Managed Business (2 years)

  • Selection is through assessment of the application followed by a test and personal interview
  • Information and Application Forms are available at the Centre for Family Managed Business, which is located within the SPJIMR Campus

    • 4. Executive Management Programme (EMP)

  • Application forms are to duly filled and submitted along with sponsorship/forwarding letter from the employers
  • The selection process will involve:
    • IQ &Psychometric test
    • Group discussion
    • Personal Interview, which will be held at our campus at Andheri, Mumbai
