Post-event Press-release The winners of the contests were part of a Panel Discussion, "The Milky Way Ahead". The topic was the current standoff between Amrita Patel, NDDB and Mr. Kurien, AMUL. Essentially, it was about NDDB wanting to promote a higher stake for the state in cooperatives and use the claimed greater reach NDDB has, to better handle the procurement and swelling in the dairy industry. Apart from the heavily academic sessions and talks by eminent personalities, numerous informal events such as crosswords, dumb charades, "talk with your hands" and quizzes were also organized. One of the first few sessions was a talk by Mr. Anil Kumar, Chief Manager, ICICI Agribusiness and Micro-banking. All the participants had the opportunity to learn from his immense experience in the field of micro finance. A talk on the export scenario and the current global trends in the dairy industry was delivered by Mr. Pavan Kumar, Marketing Manager, Amul. The event was closed with a prize distribution ceremony, which saw the esteemed presence of the Director of IIMA, Prof. Bakul Dholakia. He gave a short speech congratulating the winning teams and also the team of students from IIMA that made it possible for the successful implementation of the event.
