Srivatsa Krishna, ED & CEO - South Asia, Dubai World Group, Visits Great Lakes Institute

Previous

He went on hinting that comparing India with China is plain preposterous. The culture of the two countries had a role in molding the nations as they are. The Indian culture of sustainability amidst irreversible ruckus is not in sync with their Chinese counterpart.
Of course, questions about human rights in China are bombarded on various occasions but they have so far been kept away from the spot-light. He also spoke about the future of infrastructure in India. According to him, staggering numbers amounting to billions of dollars were going to be spent in the next few years to build up infrastructure in India. He also said that FDI was now flowing faster than ever into the sub-continent and the future was indeed bright for India with respect to job creation, services and global exposure. The day concluded with a long question and answer session.

He also amazed us with how Dubai was changing the whole infra game by developing unbelievable projects at a mind-boggling scale. As someone from the government, he also shared his experiences in the service, the current state of Indian politics, and he ended the evening by encouraging the students in the audience to follow their dream. He talked about his Harvard days and his Hyderabad stint too.

It was one of the best presentations that the class has ever seen. Mr. Srivatsa Krishna is surely a person to watch out for.

Concluded.
