Job Description:

The opening is for the Retail Entrepreneurship Program of the bank.
Program Objectives: -
1. To create a strong foundation of highly talented and high potential personnel and groom them for future Branch Manager positions, given that the bank has highly aggressive expansion plans / branch roll-out plans.
2. To surmount the difficulties related to shortage of pre-trained staff available in the current competitive environment by creating own internal pipelines.
Program Outline: -
1. Candidate to join a branch under direct supervision of the Branch Manager.
2. Branch Manager to personally undertake the responsibility of training, grooming, coaching, mentoring the candidate and preparing him/her for a Branch Manager position.
3. Candidate will be rotated through the key functions over a maximum of 6 months as follows (not necessarily in this sequence): -
      a. Stint as a Sales Manager: In this stint, the candidate will lead a team of at least 10 ASMs directly to prepare for people management and sales management aspects as per the bank standards.
      b. Stint as an RM: This stint is intended to develop personal selling skills and product expertise across MF, Insurance, CASA, etc. This stint will also enrich the candidate and refresh abilities in cold calling / client acquisition in a highly competitive business environment.
      c. Stint as CSE / CSM: This stint will enrich the candidate’s expertise at the service desk / teller desk and give a firm grounding in the transactional expectations of branch management. This stint will also give the candidate a good overview of compliance, cost management and customer experience management.
      d. Classroom training on Basic Banking and processes and bank induction.
Please note that to cover all this in 6 months, the incumbent will need to multi-task doing more than one stint in parallel.
4. At the end of every month, the Branch Manager will conduct a wholesome appraisal and record the same for compilation at the end of the whole program. Any particular stint or the Program duration may be extended by the Branch Manager (in consultation with HR & RBH) as per need in specific cases.

2. Designation after successfully completing the program: Sr. Manager, AVP or VP (as per vintage, experience and success during the program)

Candidate Profile:
  • Age: - 26 to 30 years.

  • Work Experience: - Minimum 5 to maximum 7 years (so that by the time the person successfully completes the program, he/she will have 6-8 years vintage to take on a Branch Manager position).

  • Education: - MBA / Engineering Degree (only from top-tier institutes) or CA.

  • Must be reasonably flexible on moving to other locations.

  • Should have demonstrated leadership in managing a team of at least 5 people for at least one year.

  • Proven track record in achieving sales and service targets.

  • Clear Thinking, Strong Analytical Ability, Strong Written & Verbal Communication Skills' Good Overall Personality; Excellent Execution Capabilities.

  • Target Segments / Organisations: -
    a. Financial Services Business (Banks, Insurance Companies, NBFC, Brokerage, AMC, Distribution Companies, etc.)
    b. FMCG, Consumer Durables, Telecom, etc. (e.g., Reckitt Benkaiser, Marico, Godrej, LG, Samsung, Airtel, Nestle, Cadbury, Hienz, Glaxo SmithKline, Asian Paints, Perfetti, ICI, Goodlass Nerolac, etc.)
