  3. Questions related to Group Discussion / Group Exercise
  4. Interview-related Questions
  5. After Joining MBA

Background

Q. Can you tell us something about yourself and your pre-MBA qualifications and work-experience?
A. My education was entirely from Surat, from schooling to engineering. I did my engineering in electronics, from NIT Surat. I had a 14-months work-ex before joining FMS. I worked with IMS Learning Resources, Surat, as a faculty member.

Q. So when did you decide to go for MBA?
A. I guess around the 3rd year of my engineering was the time when I really decided to pursue an MBA. One of the reasons was that I was not too happy with my engineering course which had a more theoretical orientation. I wanted to do something which had practical implications, and an MBA, with real life as your case-study to learn from, was the optimal choice.

Q. Will an MBA degree add on to your existing career plan or did you decide to switch/start a career in management?
A. I decided to switch from an engineering field to management, for reasons mentioned earlier. I do have some career plans, which are being developed and nurtured as time goes by, and an MBA would certainly help in the same.

Q. Which MBA institutes and programs you identified for your MBA?
A. IIMs, FMS, XLRI, NMIMS, MDI, S. P. Jain.

Q. Your present B-school and programme. Also specify your Batch.
A. I am right now at Faculty of Management Studies, New Delhi
Course Program: MBA (Management of Services), Batch of 2009-11.
