Background

Q. Can you tell us something about yourself and your pre-MBA qualifications and work-experience?
A. My schooling was mostly in Tamil Nadu. I was second in my school in Higher Secondary and topped in my tenth standard. I did my Engineering in Electrical & Electronics from College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai. I worked at TVS Motor Company for 3 years before joining TAPMI.

Q. So when did you decide to go for MBA?
A. I decided to go for MBA while I was working. I felt that a master's degree would definitely help me take more challenging roles and move up the corporate ladder.

Q. Will an MBA degree add on to your existing career plan or did you decide to switch/start a career in management?
A. I would say that it would be a switch in my career plan as I started off as design engineer and now I would be moving into managerial role.

Q. Which MBA institutes and programs you identified for your MBA?
A. I had identified IIMs, XLRI PGDM, IITs, XIMB, SP Jain, TAPMI and Great Lakes.
