Step 5: Report

Your ordeal is just not finished with the GT; the GT is followed with a demand of report of the case. This report provides a means to exhibit your ability to listen and grasp during a discussion, creativity, individuality, and most importantly, your sense of clarity and way of representation.
Clarity and mode of representation are the two most important facets of a manager.

Just a tip - you could use flowcharts, diagrams and captions in your report.

Step 6: PI

The personal interview is personal in every sense, the interviewers drills you on your passions, interests, presence of mind, academic knowledge, work experience, etc. They look deep into your soul, and trust me, the feeling is frightening on any average day, but it is terrifying on the D-Day. My interviewer drilled me on the concepts of engineering and asked me to prove my worth against candidates having years of work experience as I was a fresher and on almost every aspect of twenty two years of my existence... the stressful but enlightening interview lasted for 20 minutes.

A word of advice to IIT-MBA aspirants, the professors here are very experienced in judging students. They check your honesty and level of commitment towards the MBA program. So just be yourself and let the interviewers look at the real person behind the persona that you put on for the world.

I had written seven tests and had attended a lot of interviews... and received a good number of calls too... but the selection process in DoMS, IIT Madras made me decide that this was the place to be. And you can experience that particular feeling only if you are a part of the selection process. DoMS, IIT Madras is just too good to be true... but guess what - it is true!!!

Concluded.
