What is CoolAssociate?
It is a programme for MBA community. Voluntary participation from visitors of the site is invited; members are required to participate by way of contribution to the knowledge base of CoolAvenues by choosing any of the options available.

Who can be a CoolAssociate?
Any visitor to the website who belongs to the MBA community, is a student or a professional or an academician, can fill-up the concerned registration form and submit his/her latest brief profile.

Can everyone be a CoolAssociate?
No. Once you submit your brief profile at the time of registration, CoolAvenues team will review it and only if you meet the basic criteria and get selected, you will receive an invitation and welcome mail from CoolAvenues within a fortnight of your application.

Are there various types of CoolAssociate?
Yes, you can be a
(I) CoolAssociate Writer / Editor - Contribute your articles, papers, diary-entries related to Management / Humour / Social Issues / Book Reviews or your personal B-school Experiences;
(II) Campus-Associate - If you wish to represent your respective institute on this common platform; and
(III) Team CoolAvenues - To be a Mentor to MBA aspirants, or a Forum Moderator for variety of topics like management issues, business quizzes, gadgets, etc., at CoolAvenues' Forums.

Can I choose to be more than one type of CoolAssociate?
Yes, you can choose either one, or more or all the options.

Where will my articles be published?
Depending upon the nature of the article, it will be published in suitable section of the website, i.e., in Knowledge Zone, B-school Zone, Career Resources Zone, MBA Aspirants Zone, or Café, etc.

How will I know that my contribution has been accepted and published?
You will receive a notification along with the URL at which your contribution has been featured from the CoolAvenues' Editorial Team.

Do I have to send only management-related contributions?
No, the articles can be management or non-management, related to either pure academics or on the lighter side of management, i.e., B-school life / professional life, etc. With the exception of the last three areas mentioned below, the rest should be your original literary work. Joke contributions can be borrowed. Poems and Quotes can also be borrowed, but submitted in accompaniment of the actual author's details.

It is more than a month since I submitted and received initial approval for my article, but it is yet to appear on CoolAvenues. When would my article / contribution be published?
CoolAvenues receives a large number of articles / contributions from a number of authors every week, and publication of an article on the website can take from one week to 45 days at the maximum. So please be patient with us. You will receive e-mail notification once your article is online.

What is Campus Associate Programme?
This programme is designed to build a healthy mutually beneficial communication between CoolAvenues and various B-schools. The candidates, who are chosen as Campus Associates, coordinate with the media-committees of the concerned B-schools to keep us updated with all that's happening at their ends, sending us all the relevant details about the campus-news / press-releases / events / seminars / workshops, etc. All such contributions would be sourced to this chosen Associate. They would also create awareness about their institute on CoolAvenues' Forums.

All B-school students who are in their first-year or second-year can apply to Campus Associate Programme.

How will I know the status of my candidature?
An e-mail confirmation would be sent to you. Your profile would be featured on CoolAvenues, the filled-up questionnaire would be featured at relevant section. At CoolAvenues' Forums too, you would be getting a special status of Campus Associate.

What am I expected to do as Campus Associate?
The chosen Campus Associate is representative of his institute and a link between CoolAvenues and the concerned B-school. He is expected to send details of all events, news, happenings, etc., going on at his B-School; be actively involved at CoolAvenues' Forums by answering queries and also by creating informative and interesting threads related to MBA issues.

Does the candidature gets dropped in between?
You can send an e-mail request if you wish to discontinue or if you have passed out. You can inform CoolAvenues Team, and your name would be removed from the list and your profile either offloaded or moved to Campus Associates Archives.

Team CA is an effort by CoolAvenues to gather together a group of knowledge experts in the field of management who are exceptionally passionate about their selective field and need a platform to express as well as shape community thoughts - those that have fire in their belly, hunger for knowledge, conviction of ideas, and can hold their own in any discussion.

Why join CoolAvenues' Forums?
CoolAvenues' Forums is a continually evolving online discussion group. Since its inception in 2000, it has changed four platforms, and today, it has evolved into an authentic serious hub for MBA community of India. What is expected of me as member of Team CA?
You would be required to make "quality posts" in your chosen forum, so as to keep the forum active - you should answer queries posted there, start new threads, hold discussions with other Team CA members of your forum to keep the thread interesting and interactive. You should also post latest information in your field, anything that would be of interest to others in the same field.

What does "quality post" means?
"Quality post" means that the posting made in any particular forum is -
a) either providing quality content/information that would be found useful by most others visiting that particular forum; or
b) in case it's in answer to some query, then its providing the correct and satisfactory answer; or
c) in case it's expression of an opinion, then it should convey clarity of thought and conviction of one's ideas.
Posts carrying mere "hi" or using "excessive smilies", etc., wont be considered as quality posts.

Once I make it to Team CA, how long would my candidature remain valid?
Your candidature would stay valid for as long as you stay active and keep on making "quality posts". For non-active members, certain privileges like Forum Moderation rights, etc., will be withdrawn.
