Since its inception in 1996, Chaos has grown rapidly in its popularity and is now is one of the most renowned and respected management festivals in India. Over 25 colleges and 30,000 students from all over India are expected to take part in this annual event. The theme for Chaos 2004 is "Masala" representing a delightful mix of people, cultures, thoughts, hearts and minds. It encompasses a wide range of activities including literary events, management games, plays and professional nights, where a host of star performers enthrall packed audiences. The event opens on 22nd Jan with a performance by the IIMACTS - the theatre club at IIM, Ahmedabad and followed by "Prime Meridian" - a performance by Indian Ocean and Antaragini from Bangalore. 23rd is reserved for classical music performances by Pt. Ronu Majumdar and Ghazals and Hindi film music by Hariharan followed by "The Rock Show" by Pentagram on the 25th. And that's only during the evenings! Chaos Masala 2004 promises to be 84 hours of non stop excitement. With over Rs. 2 lakh at stake in prize money in a number of events such as Fever Pitch, the Ad Mad game, Colgate fresh energy gel Din & Dance, Bun Maska (Face Painting), Fa Dreamweave Fashion Parade and Mr. & Miss Chaos, it is the largest cultural festival in Ahmedabad.
