Course Conduction
This is NOT a correspondence program. This will use the DirecWay Global Education satellite broadband infrastructure to deliver real time, synchronous, live education to all participating students. The interaction is live and uses high quality video, audio and data. The studios for this are at IIMK's campus in Kozhikode and in Gurgaon. The professors will teach out from these studios. The students will need to come to DirecWay Global Education learning centers at appointed times. To begin with, we will have classrooms at Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh and Pune.

Facilities

Library
It has got a fully automated modern Library & Information Centre (LIC). The LIC has acquired over 11720 books. It subscribes to around 311 print over 3000 electronic journals, both Indian and foreign. The Audio-Visual Unit in the LIC hosts about 215 educational videos, covering the entire range of disciplines in management science.

Computing
It has more than 100 Pentium based microcomputers connected over an Ethernet Local Area Network (LAN) under some of the latest Network Operating Systems running on high-end IBM Netfinity Servers. An environment of wide variety of operating systems such as Windows-95, Windows-98, Windows NT Server 4.0 and LINUX has been established at IIMK to make students familiar with latest operating systems. A 512 Kbps leased line from BSNL and a dedicated 64 Kbps VSAT link provide round the clock Internet and Email connectivity to the faculty, staff and students of IIMK. The same can be accessed from any desktop anywhere in the campus.

Hostels
The institute has excellent accommodation facilities for the students inside the campus. The classrooms, computer centre, canteen, and all other facilities are within walking distance of the hostel. Every student has been provided individual rooms. One television and a washing machine is provided in every hostel. Facilities for making STD/ISD calls are located within the hostel itself. The hostels also has facilities for various sports like table tennis, badminton, carrom and chess. All the hostels rooms have been provided with a LAN connection to cater to the computing needs of the students. Lady students are provided separate accommodation inside the campus.
