The first event on Saturday was a Case Study called 'Reconnoitre', which had 40 entries. It was based on the Newspaper Market in Gujarat. While the first prize of Rs. 15,000/- went to IIM, Ahmedabad, the second and third prizes of Rs. 10,000/- and Rs. 5000/- respectively were bagged by MICA. The judges were Mr. Premlesh Machama, Chief Manager, Dainik Bhaskar, Mumbai and Professor Anita Basalingappa from MICA. Next was 'Prattle Ground', a student debate for which the topic was 'Kites Fly High Against, and Not With the Wind'. The winners were Mr. Vasant from Symbiosis ( Pune ) and Ms. Kanika Mittal of MICA.

In the post-lunch session, there was a lively industry debate 'Synapse'. Professionals who participated in the debate were Mr. Siddharth Deshmukh, Chief Operating Officer for Cohezia, Mr. Rajendra Grewal, a Marketing & Communications Consultant, Mr. Sripad Kulkarni, CEO, Carat Media Services India Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Bhaskar Das, Director, The Times of India Group and Mr. Harish Bijoor, CEO of Harish Bijoor Consultants. Mr. Alan D'souza, Executive Director, Mudra Communications was the moderator for the event.

This was followed by 'Thinking Hats', an event that tests the ability of the contestants to think on their feet in a given management situation. The more convincing the contestants' portrayal of the assigned manager's perspective, the better were the chances of winning. The next contest was 'Marketrics', a game where the emphasis was on long-term strategies. It consisted of six rounds spread across two days. At the end, the teams made a presentation of their management and strategy decisions on the prior given case.

The day started with a spirited Semiotics Workshop conducted by Dr. Shiv Vishvanathan, Professor, DA-IICT (Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology), Gandhinagar. He introduced the participants to a variety of models of Semiotics and explained the application of this science in day-to-day life and discussed how to solve problems with a Semiotic eye.

The next event was a communication plan contest called 'Cut Through' (sponsored by Paras Pharmaceuticals). Here, students were asked to develop an effective and result-oriented creative communication plan for a brand. The contest was judged by Mr. Sandeep Arya and Mr. Krishnaraj of Mudra Communications and Dr. Tara Nair, Professor, MICA. The first position went to students from NITIE, Mumbai. The second and third positions were bagged by MICA and IMT, Gaziabad respectively.
