He encouraged the just-been-managers to go and bring back the long-lost glory of India, to make the world believe that India is a force worth to reckon with. Also inspiring was the fact that he took quotes ranging from Sehwag to Voltaire. Indicating the span of his reading and how well-versed he is, despite handling one of the best stock market regulators in the world.

This was concluded by the ceremony of awarding the gold medals, which was followed by individual diplomas. The moment was full of glory and warmth displayed by the awardees and the attendees. The site was too awe-inspiring and would remain in the psyches of all those who were fortunate to witness it.

On 19th of March, Mr. M. Damodaran also shared a special meeting with the student community of XIMB. This was more of an interactive session. He invited questions from the crowd and looked in full flow while answering them. The occasion looked one of those wherein a father figure guides the younglings about the functioning of the world. He went to great detail while explaining the methodology and mindset that he utilized while bringing about the UTI turn-around. All the students were clearly besmirched by the humility of Mr. Damodaran. It was a dream come true to many of these youths who aspired to rule the roost in corporate life. Maybe such meetings must have coined the term "from the horse's mouth". Nobody can teach more about the war than one who has won many a battles.
