MICA Launches Website for its Annual Theatre Fest, Sankalp

Ahmedabad-based Mudra Institute of Communications (MICA), on the 1st of September, held a prelude to it's annual theater fest, Sankalp, with a Panel Discussion and Play at the Gujarat Law Society Auditorium, along with the launch of the Sankalp Website.

Following the website launch was an engrossing panel discussion, which was chaired by eminent theatre personalities, Mr. Vinod Jani, Mr. Rajoo Barot & Mr. Saumya Joshi and moderated by MICA's Director, Prof. Atul Tandon. The evening was concluded by an adaptation of 'Cut', a modern comic play by Ed Monk, a famous playwright in this genre. The play was hugely appreciated by the audience.

Following this pre-event, three street plays each based on a respective theme of social relevance would be performed in malls, villages and colleges in Ahmedabad, alongside a design contest being conducted across prominent colleges of the city. A Theatre Workshop is proposed to be conducted in the month of November, wherein the involvement of an eminent theatre director is envisioned.
