AMDISA and ISB Host Meeting of Deans from SAARC Countries

The Indian School of Business (ISB) in association with the Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA), hosted a meeting of Deans of B-schools from the SAARC region. The meeting was held to discuss strategies and challenges of B-schools in South Asia and share best practices to match global standards.

Speaking about the ISB's association, Prof. M Rammohan Rao, Dean, ISB, said, "ISB will endeavour to develop management education, philosophy and techniques and share best practices with B-schools from the South Asia." Dean Rao also spoke about the international exchange programmes the ISB has with B-schools across various countries and hoped that in future they will have more student exchange programmes with schools in the SAARC region too.

Dr. Hafiz G. A. Siddiqui, Vice Chancellor, North South University, Bangladesh, and President AMDISA, said, "AMDISA is focussed to develop high quality management education in these regions. However, more important are the non-academic aspects of AMDISA which are to develop cooperation, peace, and harmony in these regions."

Dr. Syed Zahoor Hassan, Vice Chancellor, Lahore University of Management Sciences, Pakistan, and immediate past President AMDISA, said, "AMDISA is a forum of exchange of experiences, learning and ideas. It also plays a key role in nurturing future management leaders."
