Corporate Biggies Adorn Annual Marketing Summit "Srijan '08" at IMI-Delhi

Recognizing the need for innovative marketing and challenges therein, the Promethean Club of International Management Institute
organized its two-day annual marketing summit, Srijan '08. The event came next in line, after the tremendous success of the college's Finance and HR summits.

The event kicked off in style, with Mr. Sanjeev Jain, Managing Director, Parasvnath Developers lighting the ceremonial lamp. He then delivered an insightful speech highlighting the nuances of real estate development, and the role of the future managers in it.

The theme for Srijan '08 was "Marketing: Emerging Trend, Approaches & Challenges", which was reflected in the line-up of events that followed. First in line was the panel discussion on Innovation in Sales and Distribution. It was graced by the presence of luminaries from the corporate world, like Mr. Apoorv Varma, Corporate Advisor, CEEZAY Trade Mart, Mr. Rahul Goel, National Sales Head, Sony Ericsson, and Mr. Samik Dasgupta, VP, Yes Bank.

Mr. Varma started off on a lighter note, by relating three inspirational anecdotes pertaining to the challenges faced in the development of novel sales distribution channels by Kodak, Flex and Clips India, in all of which, flawless implementation of ideas played a crucial role. The crux of his disposition was that merely ideas are not enough, but the execution is of paramount importance. And according to him, the road to success is easy to find, but the difficulty is in walking through it.
