The first day ended on a high note with Mr. Princy Bhatnagar, National Director of Xerox India, sharing his insights on why innovation in brand building does not happen. He brought to light the fact that the competitive landscape is shifting very
fast, and the immense pressure it is exerts on organizations. He ended his invigorating talk by advising all of the budding managers to breed a strong positive arrogance.

The first day of the massive student driven activity ended on a high, leaving the audience filled with stimulating thoughts to ponder.

The Second Day of Srijan 2008 started off with high expectations following a grand Day One, and the event very well lived up to it, for the first session of the day brought together the likes of Mr. Vishal Bhatia, VP - Marketing, Pepsi, Mr. Ashwini Aggarwal, Country Category Manager, HP India, Mr. Baljeet Singh, Head - Sales Support, Apollo Tyres, Mr. Sanjeev Nimkar, Business Head - VMA, Phillips.

The session began with a paper presentation competition on the topic "Pricing: Overcoming the Hurdles & Challenges", which saw participation of students from B-schools such as ISB Hyderabad, IMT Ghaziabad.

Mr. Vishal Bhatia emphasised the fact that in today's market, the value that a product provides is more important than the price it is offered at, and for this very fact, the consumers will be only willing to pay for what the good is actually worth. Also he said that developing products which provide value for money is of paramount importance, and is the key to sustainability in today's business. Mr. Ashwini highlighted the importance of identifying the target market for the products, and hence, developing a business model that provides value to the consumers and meets the objective of the firm as well.
