Manufacturing Sector Becomes Biggest Gainer in Summer Placements at TISS, Mumbai

IT & ITES also made their presence felt with names like Micrsosoft, Texas Instruments, Wipro, Capgemini, Firstsource, etc. The heavy engineering and manufacturing sector had the likes of Cummins (India), L&T, Essar, Tata Motors, to name a few. Diversified group RPG Enterprises
made profile-specific offers while Tata Sons recruited for its HR Leadership Development Program called HRDP. ABG Shipping and SHRM were two new entrants who were welcomed by the students with great interest. SHRM (Society for Human Resources Management) is a premier recognized body of HR professionals which conducts cutting edge research in the field. It selected students to conduct research-based projects of high significance. HSBC and Deutsche Bank were also present to woo the students with an exciting summers experience.

Overall, it was another satisfying round of Summer Placements at TISS with both recruiters and students coming out of the process happy. As the anxiety of placements gives way to cheers of success, TISS starts to brace itself up for another acid test - the Final Placements for the Batch of 2007-09.
