XLRI to partner Government of Jharkhand

Johns Hopkins University has expressed keen interest in the Project and has replied in a positive manner to a proposal to: -

  • Act as a Mentor to the Project

  • To provide academic inputs for a one year Diploma in Public Health to be conducted by XLRI-TMH-XITE for Health Officials, NGOs and Social Workers

  • Resource Centre Partners

    While XLRI would be the single window Resource Centre for co-ordination efficiency, it would have many partners carrying out various tasks. Some of them are: -

  • Tata Main Hospital (TMH): Clinical and Hospital Management Inputs

  • Xavier Institute for Tribal Education (XITE): Training Nurses, Lab Technicians, NGOs, SHGs, etc.

  • IIT, Madras: Telemedicine

  • SINI: Training

  • ORG-MARG, IMRB, MODE: For Market Research

  • MOST: Immunization

  • Funding

  • USAID have agreed to fund the Resource Centre setting up and running costs with its principal partners, TMH and XITE for a period of three years commencing from April 2004.

  • Governments of Jharkand and India will fund the work activities such as training, telemedicine etc.
