Post-event Press Release - November 8, 2004 The session on Organised Retail saw Ms. Riti Chatterjee, Senior Practice Manager, Cognizant Technology Solutions and Mr. Subrat Mishra, Hindustan Petroleum discuss how IT can actually help in optimising the resources available leading to more profits. While Ms. Chatterjee explained the technical aspects of e-retailing, Mr. Mishra discussed the practicalities in implementing the solutions, varying from infrastructural to human aspects. The potential of the innovative RFID technology was a key agenda amongst most speakers in this session. Mr. Anuj Sharma, Senior Consultant in Retail and Distribution, Infosys gave an insightful presentation from the Solution Provider angle. The sessions were rounded off by an IT Quiz, conducted by Mr. G. Sreekanth from TCS Kolkata, which saw students competing with professionals.
