Role of a person who wants to be in control from the middle of the organization in helping the organization in determining its long-term identity has been dealt in detail. What he could invest in and how a change in the organization can be brought about by navigating through the political climate at work place, is one of the highlights of strategic management made in the book. Building a positive political climate can be done by increasing interactions between groups and taking an open and receptive stance. It is of paramount importance to have a clear sense of the ground realities of the organization. For a person who wants to be in control from the middle of the organization, knowing, understanding, respecting and accepting the truth about oneself, people and the organization, can do this. He should view difficult times as opportunities and find innovative measures to survive and grow even in times of recession.

Making a strategic choice for people not in control and authority actually becomes a framework for people who make the final decisions. Therefore the potential impact is profound in terms of developing an action list for leading change and shaping and reshaping their role.
