Process Change Implementation
Once the vision of the new processes is developed, the task of implementing the changes is pursued. A comprehensive plan for how, where and when to introduce each change is developed, involving all effected processes in the development of system requirements definitions.
During this Phase, the measurements and controls for the new processes are also identified and built into the systems and processes so that the results of the transformation can be confirmed and so that the processes can be monitored and action taken when performance drifts out of tolerance.
New Processes Management
After the business processes have been transformed, the new processes will be up and running. At this point, the emphasis will be on determining if the gains of making the changes line up with the predetermined expectations.
In Managing New Processes, two main components are instituting appropriate measures of the process to ensure that the process holds the improved performance gains and is in control, and continuously striving to improve the process to realize greater effectiveness and efficiencies.
In conjunction with these continuous improvements, measures on the transformation process need to be gathered and presented to the client. These measures are used to monitor the transformation process and confirm gap closure between the previous process and the new.
