The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade's School of International Business Management (IIFT-SIBM) at New Delhi has had a good placement season in the new millennium. The campus was visited by the big MNCs during the placement week starting from Feb. 1, 2000.

Statistics

Six students were selected by the MNCs for their overseas operations. The salaries offered were more than double of those offered last year. The highest salary in Y2K placements was Rs. 23.6 Lakhs per annum for the overseas placements with the average salary working out to be Rs. 4.55 Lakhs per annum. For the domestic industry, the highest bracket was Rs. 4.5 lakhs per year.
