ISB student bags USD 233,800 salary, sets placement record in India. The highlight of the placements was that the highest salary offer of USD 233,800 was made by an Indian company.

Four ISB graduates have bagged offers that have broken the USD 200,000 mark, two of these are women.

The highest domestic salary at the ISB this year stood at Rs. 30.33 lakhs while the average Indian salary is Rs. 11.77 lakhs.

Media companies for the first time made a mark at the ISB. Several ISB students opted for jobs with various media companies including ABP, GBN, and RPG Saregama.

More than 30 students at the ISB have declined high salary packages in their quest for taking up jobs that find the 'best fit' for them. Many students declined lucrative offers and chose better job profiles.

FMS, Delhi University

HSBC Bank made the highest domestic offer to 2 students at Rs. 14.5 Lacs per annum.

41% of the candidates were placed across Chicago, Singapore, Sydney, London and Lagos in their first year itself, as GE-IMLP, GE-FMP and GE-HRLP recruited for their global leadership programs.

MBA (Management of Services), the 2-year full-time programme of FMS saw its pioneer batch getting placed, recording an average salary of Rs. 7.5 Lakhs per annum.

Human Resource (HR) was the highlight of Placements 2006 at MDI. The average salary for the inaugural HR batch stood at an impressive figure of Rs. 8.03 Lakhs. Star recruiters included William Mercer, Hewitt Associates, Bharti, Grow Talent Consulting, Air India, GSK, the Aditya Birla Group and GE.

This year saw a significant increase in the institute's Consulting portfolio with first time recruiters Capgemini Consulting, KPMG Consulting, SAP America, Nokia, Oracle and Virtusa.

Foreign Offers came from Ernst & Young (UAE) and Mahindra British Telecom.

IBM, Cognizant, Goldman Sachs Equity Research, Ernst & Young Human Capital, ICICI Prudential, Hewitt Associates, and Nokia were among the largest recruiters this year, while the highest offer was made by McKinsey.
