Overview: Managerial Skills, in the past several decades, has often been thought to have become a fiefdom of business enterprises. Yet, society, which is a far bigger entity than business, is in no less a need for managerial skills.

The burning problems of our country is not how many luxury sedans are owned per capita but whether the basic necessities and infrastructure are accessible to the vast population.

The situation in many sectors is menacing. Yes, we have attained self-sufficiency in food, but many in our country still cannot access good education and health care.

Our country today has one of the largest HIV/AIDS affected people in the world and their population is growing. Government, CBOs, NGOs, International funding organizations are all trying to address this huge and growing problem. This too is a problem of management and managerial skills are needed among those who are working hard to stem the tide.

Objectives: The objective of this training programme is to enhance and strengthen the management skills of Programme Managers, Programme Planners, co-ordinators and senior functionaries working in the area of Community and Sexual Health and HIV/AIDS. These skills will allow participants to effectively plan, implement and evaluate programmes and activities.
