3. Questions related to Group Discussion / Group Exercise

Q. Was Group Discussion or Group Exercise part of selection process?
A. Yes. There was a GD in which we had to discuss an article that was provided.

Q. The duration of GD, size of the group, number of panelists, etc.
A. The GD lasted for around 15 minutes, it had 2 panelists and 10 participants.

Q. What was your GD topic?
A. It was an article on the importance of words.

Q. Tell us about your GD experience?
A. The GD was not a fish-market though it was fairly competitive. I came in 2-3 times. Almost everybody got a chance to speak. 3 people were chosen from our group.

Q. How was the environment during discussion?
A. There was one person who spoke a lot during the GD, the others came in around 1-2 times. The atmosphere was never heated and nobody raised their voices needlessly.

Q. Describe your impression of the your team members and overall GD process ?
A. The GD was very professional. There were just 2 freshers in a group of 10 and the professionalism showed. There were no interruptions while any member was speaking. All in all, it was a good experience.

Q. Some handy tips that would be of great help.
A. Tips would be to never get desperate. Keep trying to make your point. There are marks for trying. Don't get tense if you are unable to get in initially. A good way of making an impression is by going against the grain of the group's discussion. This would make your point stand out and would be brought up in the interview also.

Q. Were there any set norms of Group Discussion?
A. We were just given 5 minutes to read the article and were asked to not turn the discussion into a fish market.
