Budget can address only credit side of growth, other areas can be addressed by different ministries and state governments. This is a pure pre-election populist agri plus education focused budget without any plan for implementation of programmes.

Does the Budget make any sense in the current scenario? Because of frequent rollbacks of politically unpopular proposals, the increasing reliance on ad-hoc measures such as administered price hikes and the imposition of various levies and cesses, the annual budgetary exercise has lost its relevance, other than as a media drama.
