The Power of Strategic Planning

What would you expect to see internally if your plan was skillfully brought to life? Here's some benchmarks:

  • Employees are excited about what they are doing
  • Executive teams agree on budget decisions

  • Less time is wasted on activities that add lesser value
  • Decision making is simplified and accelerated
  • You have greater control over your time and where you spend it
  • All resulting in tangible outcomes such as:

  • Greater productivity
  • Increases in market share
  • Increased customer loyalty
  • Better return on your investment
  • To put it into perspective, how would your bottom line grow if a more focused and effective organization increased productivity by just 2%? How about 5% or 10% or more? A little math shows that with even modest improvements the bottom line results far outweigh the investment you'll make in time and resources. A simple 2% productivity boost equates to 20% growth in profits in a business with a 10% profit margin - and a 5% improvement yields 50% growth!

At the end of the day, a really good strategic plan is the most effective tool you can have to create lasting, positive change. There is no better means of motivating and inspiring you and your team to new heights than a clear picture of a better future - supported by an easy to understand plan for getting there. It is the absolute foundation that everything else builds upon. With it, you can communicate more clearly and consistently, make the best use of scarce resources, lay the foundation for visibility into what's important, and secure accountability across teams and individuals.

    Concluded.
