Asia should be the target market for luxury brands, as it accounts for more sales than any other region. For instance, half of Switzerland's $ 8.0 Billion of annual watch exports comes here. Asia's numbers are huge.

     * For France's LVMH, the world's largest luxury goods maker and parent of brands such as Louis Vuitton and Veuve Clicquot, 40% of world sales are generated here.
     * For shoe label Gucci, it's 45%.
     * French brand Chanel's revenues in Japan are three times greater than in France.
     * Rolls Royce sells some 15% of its bespoke limousines to Asian customers.
