The inputs to the system include materials, funds, labour force, expertise and long term plans. The output consists of the finished product, say road, or a commercial building and other intangibles like increased pollution and other opportunities costs. The output will also have a cascading effect on the economy at both micro and macro level like creating more jobs as well as a better investment climate.
