Q.Q. What was your first step to start preparation for getting into the B-school of your choice?
Ans. Enrolling into one of the MBA Coaching Institutes.

Q. When did you start your preparation?
Ans. 2 Yrs. (18 months)

Q.How many months and how many hours daily did you devote for preparation of entrance exams?
Ans. 18 months and 2-3 hrs. daily.

Q. Did you take up some coaching institute or you believed in self-study?
Ans. I joined CL, Preet Vihar, Delhi in first year and Times, Noida in 2nd year of preparation but I relied more on self-study. Study material used was that of CL and Times only.

Q. What was your experience with coaching?
Ans. Times Noida centre was awesome in terms of faculty and overall coaching. CL study material was awesome.

Q. What are the others books and tests that you used for your MBA preparation, besides the study material provided by you coaching institute?
Ans. None.

Q. Can you tell us which your favorite books were - books that you used for preparing for entrance, books for self-development, and books for pure relaxation?
Ans. None.

Q.What were your strongest and your weakest areas while preparing for MBA?
Ans. Good in all three areas of Quant, Reasoning and English. Weakest area-Had to start from scratch while I started preparation.

Q. Some tips which you used for mastering Quantitative Aptitude, Reading Comprehension, etc.
Ans. Quant- Understanding of concepts most important before actual problem solving.
RC- Getting a feel of the Passage (toughness, familiarity,type of Questions etc) by reading 3-4 lines of the passage before deciding which passage to choose.
DI- Practicing Mental calculations during idle time is helpful.

Q. How much time did you put for MBA preparation everyday? In case you were working, how did you manage this preparation while working full time?
Ans. 2-3 Hours daily , manageable while working in SAIL.

Q. Which all Entrance Exams & B-schools you applied to?
Ans. CAT, XAT, FMS Delhi, SNAP, JMET. IIMS, XLRI, FMS Delhi, IIT Bombay,SIBM Pune.

Q.Your present B-school and programme. What made you opt or this particular institute and programme?
Ans. SJMSOM , IIT Bombay, MBA. A top notch institute among top 10, small batch size.

Q.What procedures your school has for admission to its MBA program?
Ans. Written Test, Group Discussion and Interview.

Q.What is the range of score for students who are admitted in your B-school?
Ans. CAT scores in the range of 95-100 percentile mostly in 98-99 percentiles. JMET - Ranks upto 400 called for GD and Interview.

Q.What was your score?
Ans. JMET Rank - AIR 34, XAT Percentile - 99.8, FMS Percentile - 99.4

Q. Give some handy tips regarding the MBA written tests that would be of great help to MBA aspirants.
