  2. Questions related to Pre-MBA Preparation
  3. Questions related to Group Discussion / Group Exercise
  4. Interview-related Questions
  5. After Joining MBA

Q. How did you prepare for the interview?
A. After CAT, I had joined coaching classes for GD and PI to get a practical feedback on my performance from the faculty.

Q. How many interview calls did you get and from which institutes? How many and which ones of these could you actually convert to a Final Call?
A. I got GD and PI calls from TAPMI, S. P. Jain and Great Lakes.

Q. Date and location of Interview. Were you given the option to choose? Was the interview date fixed or rescheduled couple of times. Was the interview venue changed or scheduled as per your convenience?
A. Date: 24th March and place: TAPMI, Manipal. I was given a date and place and was not given an option. It was fixed.

Q. Can you tell us about the panel that interviewed you?
A. The panel constituted of three professors who belonged to TAPMI.

Q. How long was your interview?
A. My interview lasted about 15 minutes.

Q. What kind of questions were you asked? Were they specific to any particular area?
A. The questions had a mix of current affairs, my work experience and personal background.

Q. What was the first question? The most interesting question? The most difficult question?
A. The first question was whether I knew the questions what were being asked to the people who went in before me. This was also the most interesting question, for which I had to say Yes! The most difficult question was regarding my previous work experience, about a concept which was followed at the company I worked for, but I was not aware of it!

Q. While facing the panel, were you confident, did you feel prepared?
A. I was very confident and I was prepared.

Q. Write a brief about your Interview experience.
A. My interview was shorter than the other interviews of my panel. I was quite confident and I was able to answer all questions except for one. I was asked about my personal background, my aim and some current affairs (about launch of Tata Nano, etc.,). I was asked how I would be able to adapt to classroom learning after having worked for 3 years. I replied that I had undergone training sessions even during work, due to which I can be able to get back to classroom mode without much effort. The panelists made me feel comfortable and were quite relaxed, which made me feel better.

Q. Was any feedback given to you? What feedback did you receive from the panel at the end of session?
A. No, I was not given any feedback.

Q. How would you rate your performance in the Interview?
A. 8.5 / 10.

Q. Areas where you could have performed better in your interview?
A. I should have done more homework on the company I worked for as I was unable to answer one question.

Q. Give some handy tips regarding interview that would be of great help to MBA aspirants.
A. 1. Be prepared about current affairs(atleast the recent news)!
    2. Be relaxed and confident. (Your confidence should show in your body language)
